LOOKING FOR 22.5 RIMS 5x8

I am looking for 2 rims. I need 22.5" Budd style rims. They need to have a 5 lug on an 8" pattern. This Forum has been VERY helpful in helping me find 4 of them (thanks guys). I need two more.

Either used or new with shipping (unless fairly close to 13654). I am actually going to work on truck tomorrow. Hopefully the wheels fit the truck. I will have to see. Back no problem. Front I'm concerned about them fitting in the wheel well. I will know more tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

I think before you go any further you should determine for sure if those 9R's are going to work on the front satisfactory. If you have 9R's on the rear now just swap them out with the fronts.

Mixer, that’s is the plan for today. Plus hanging the gas tank. Just holding tire up next to where it needs to go, looks like an inch on both sides, but then when turning don’t know what I have. I will in about an hour.

The fronts were in fact 7.50. I got of the new 9R22.5 on (passenger side) and it does fit. Top of tire to bottom of wheel wheel well about three inches. Looking at the tire, the right side of tire to the wheel well only about an inch. Same with the left side of tire and wheel well (about an inch). Steering turns free. Full turn right no rubbing, full turn left no running. Is an inch clearance on?

What is danger of driving around a little on the roads with the widowmakers on the front? I live in the middle of nowhere. More Amish on the roads than vehicles usually.

Reaon why: thinking of putting all four new 9R22.5s on the back as they are matched pairs. (Two with long valve stems, two with short) and keeping widowmakers on front for now until I get two more rims. (I already have the new tires)

anytime I work with the widowmakers, I wrap two straps around rim and tire. I pull the valve spring and deflate. (Working from the side never standing in the front). I know it is dangerous taking tires off and on. But once they are on, what’s the danger level?

Once they are mounted on the truck the side ring is on the inside. If a failure were to occur it would blow inward doing its damage to the truck rather than to your body or other surroundings. Stu

You could just run a single on the rear and then all tires are new. That's what I'd do to be safe and never deal with the widow makers again
