1948 Ford Truck wiper linkage

I was not able to get a picture of how the passenger side linkage attaches to the wiper motor. Could somebody please provide pictures of how that attaches?

From what I understand there is a rubber plug that goes in the hole on the arm and a clip that holds it on the wiper motor

Your wiper motor doesn't look right for a dual-arm system. There should be an arm projecting down from and connected to the DS arm that the linkage slips over, with rubber grommet and retaining clip.

So I am just missing the 17562 apparently. I had it rebuilt at Fickens and works great. I just obviously misplaced this grommet part. I will have to go looking to make something work. So grommet over the shaft, bar slides over the grommet, clip holds it on, dial wire threads into clip. It's always the little parts!!!

The grommet fits on the arm, and that slips over the nut.

doesn't that grommet wear out by the nut moving? or is it just so few and far between it doesn't matter?

A little grease on the grommet and it will last decades, not a lot of wear. Kind of a dumb arrangement, not sure why Ford didn't make a round surface for the grommet. For the price I'd buy two new grommets, so you have a spare.

The bronze nut/bushing should turn freely on the shaft. I believe it is an oilite bronze. It is hex shaped so the rubber grommet will fit tightly on the nut and turn the bronze nut on the shaft as the wipers move. The rubber does not turn on the nut and does not need to be lubed. A little light oil on the shaft for the inside of the hex bushing wouldn't hurt anything.
