I went to the 20's on my 2018 F350 6.2L with the 4.30's but I ended up going back to the 18's and the stock tire size. I loved the look but I lost 2 mpg's and I could feel the power loss especially while towing heavy. I settled on the black machined aluminum wheels so my truck didn't look so plain.

Really liking the silver trucks! h20camper, Your truck reminds me, I picked up a keypad but have yet to install it. I'm doing some cheap speaker upgrades soon, I should do the keypad while I have the door panel off...thanks! Are those 20" wheels? Did you update the truck?

Yes, they're the 20" Lariat PVD wheels. I was torn between them and the Platinum brushed. Like the bling of the PVD's. I tried a few different aftermarket speakers (Rockford, Alpine, Polk) and I wasn't impressed with the sound for the money. I wasn't going to add an amp or sub-woofer. Another member sold me his Sony take outs and it was an improvement over the standards that came with the STX.

That's one sweet looking STX, h2o...

How did you replace the door handle surround (black textured on all XL/STX?) with paint matched? I'd love to make my 2019 handles all magnetic. While we're talking XL/STX and black textured parts, can the side window sills be replaced with black gloss ones?

Let's see a pic of the wheels.

I bought the Putco chrome door handle and surround kit (401063) but was trying to maintain the OEM look so I primed, painted to match and then clear coated the Putco surrounds.
Yes, you can buy either Putco black stainless (gloss) overlays (402678BP) or the OEM Ford and swap out. I considered it but I preferred the textured ones as they don't show finger prints. I hate a dirty vehicle.

I think these are the Ford parts #s for crew cab.

h20, that is a great looking truck. I like the 6.2L badge on the door, too. Takes away some diesel exclusivity, I think. Silver is a great color. The wheels are very nice.

Thank you! I am 6.2 proud. It seems to be a great engine. I came from the 7.3 which I loved but I don't miss the nuances of the diesel and I really don't require one.

I've also come to really like the matt textured for the same reason! Could never keep the gloss one looking good on my F-150, between the kids and I it was always finger prints and swirl marks! Cleaned and polished they did look good!

Stufarmer that looks great! Do you like the extended running boards? Been looking for some take-off, seems like the might be pretty useful.
