Trick to removing the oil cooler?

I've decided to get rid of the oil cooler on my 460 because it's in the way of me reinstalling the timing cover. From what I understand the whole thing is attached with the one bolt on the drivers side of the block. Problem is my bolt isn't budging. My half inch ratchet, and my dad's impact wrench were useless against it. I'll be bringing my breaker bar, and my own impact wrench home from work tonight; then see if they have any better luck. Apart from more leverage, or a bigger impact wrench; is there anything else I'm missing about removing this thing?

Thanks for the help.

I had my timing cover off last week. To put it back in, I put it in place without the crank seal in place. Tapped it in after the cover was lightly bolted on. Worked perfect, in fact, it was too easy.

To answer the question at hand, I really don't know as I haven't done it yet,but yes, only the 1 center bolt holding it down.

I am getting ready to get rid of the cooler on my 97 as well. In one of the post I read, they had the same problem, and an impact was required to break the bolt free. Of course, not all impacts are created equal, when my cheap one wont do the job, I have to borrow my nephews. He is a CAT diesel mechanic, so he has the good tools.

A two foot breaker bar got the bolt holding the cooler on off. The adapter fitting was a different matter. I couldn't get it with either a ratchet or the breaker bar. I've bought a 1-1/4" impact socket, and will try with the impact wrench later.
