Horsepower Hooligan did you ever figure out what the problem was? I have a 2012 F250 and having the exact same issue with my dome lights as well. Please share any info you came up with this is driving me crazy.
Thanks

Yeah, I figured it out. Something caused a short (maybe a burnt out bulb at one point?) and the BCM threw a code and disabled the circuit. I just had to go in with FORscan and clear the code. As soon as I cleared it (I had my door open) the lights came on, and I haven't had an issue since.
I bought
and just followed the instructions from a YouTube video (can't find the link) on how to clear BCM codes. It's not too hard. FORscan is free after registering on their forums. Although, I think you have to wait a bit before it validates you or something. Only took an hour or two in my case. I got all set up on the forums the day before my cable arrived and I was fine.
