Yep. I got one of those only in Floridian $$. Cool thing is my house sits 100' off the road so i can take a whiz right off the front porch at night when I let my dog out.

You sound like my favorite neighbor, I'd be over every weekend drinking beers and kicking tires

As long as you keep it in the back yard, I don't give a ****.

Funny, I just did this tonight. Our HOA dues are $239/month at our second home and $300/yr at the other home.

My last 5 homes I’ve owned all had HOAs.

My current primary home and my second home both have HOAs. The second Country home is in a remote gated community. That $239/mo pays for our private airstrip, tennis courts, community pool, exercise building, lodge, skeet shooting range, NRA rifle range, maintains the 3600 acres of hunt preserve, 4 full tome maintenance workers, full time manager and 2 clerical staff employees. We also have 2 fire trucks filled with water and keys in the ignition for residents use in case of fire. Our house is a 5 mile drive from the front gate on a combination of paved and dirt roads, while navigating between the deer and wild turkeys. Forgot to mention they will board and feed your horse for $130/mo if you don’t have your own barn.

True story: We had a guy call in on my son a couple of years ago. He said he cut him off in traffic on I-4. We don't have our phone #'s on our truck so he had to make a concerted effort to look it up and call. Anyway, he introduced himself as Mr. So-and-So and he is president of Such-and-Such HOA. Really???? That's your occupation? Maybe he didn't want to say "retired florist" or "head stylist" or something like that. My customers deal with them all the time installing fences. Most of them are no problem to deal with but some of them can be a royal PITA.
