rustrepairpanel.com ?

I recently bought a 2003 ford expedition XLT, bought it cheap because of rust in the rockers and some idle issues.. I was looking at the slip on rockers from rustrepairpanel.com and some other sites, one of the inexpensive ways to hide the rust (not really eliminate it) You guys have any other suggestions on quick/cheap/easy rocker panel repair (links, suggestions and comments are welcome) ?

I don't have any welding skills or not planning to buy any welding tools..

I've done sub-$20.00 quickie repairs using a roll of roof flashing from home depot, a handful of self-taping screws and a can of paint.

I suggest a gallon of asphalt roofing patch from Home Depot and a pine cone to spread it on with. Follow up with a pint of cheap whiskey and a log to sit on while it dries. Like an ugly woman, the more you drink, the better it will look.

I think the rust looks better than that garbage. Look at their gallery, they are actually proud of that junk they are peddling.

Sometimes it's about function and not appearances. In my state if the inspector can stick a finger in a rust hole you fail inspection. As long as the hole is covered by something solid (tape doesn't count) then the vehicle will pass inspection.

I ended up buying slip ons from ebay at ($71 shipped free) Duplicolor base coat spray (ford medium wedgewood blue) bondo, 2k primer and clear coat for $50+
doesn't look professional but it did hide the rust damage..
