Vinyl wrapping the chrome

My XLT had a bit too much chrome for my liking so having both bumpers, door handles, and mirror caps wrapped in a color-matching vinyl. The vinyl is from https://www.colorxlabs.com Being located in AZ, I got to meet the owner Sean in person. Good people.

if you don't mind me asking what did that cost you to have them install? I too am in Arizona and was looking into having my stuff all painted but might go this route your truck looks good and looks like they did an awesome job!

a few dollars over 500 for the wrap and 500 to apply the wrap on both bumpers, 4 door handles, and two mirror caps. Realize an "almost" easy to match color like white is much less expensive since the wrap is produced in huge quantities. Once you get into color-matching metallic wrap, and as far as I know, they are only one doing it that I know of, it is a totally different ballgame and cost.

you are much braver than me I don't know for certain but based on the conversations you will need to know how to use knifeless tape and also how to navigate install on many 90 degree corners, which are overlapped in multiple pieces. You simply can't mold this wrap properly around 90 degree corners in one peice and expect it to hold long term (at least not in AZ heat). If done properly, overlapped wrapped looks proper and neat, but incorrectly - oh my! I wouldn't attempt this job but I may buy some more and remove my grill to try to wrap the two chrome bars. We'll see.

Are your handles the black texturized ones? Came out great. I have some ORACAL silver that is an exact match for the Ford Ingot Silver, $100 for enough to do my bumpers and the grille....just haven't had time to dig into it yet.

Avoiding chrome was one reason for ordering the King Ranch, and wrap material availablity was another reason I chose Oxford white over the platinum white ...

Looks so good! Good thing is it won't chip like paint does when it goes over chrome.

Thanks! It also has a 3M clear wrap on the front bumper and WeatherTech LampGard "wraps" on the headlights.

I have been looking into wrapping the lower quarter of my truck to create the two-tone look. More like the f 150 or dually without the wheel wells wrapped. Anyone done it?
