ran koer test and it fried the AIH wire???
as soon as i started koer test a big puff of smoke came from under hood, i canceled the test, popped the hood and noticed that the large wire going from relay to AIH burnt completely in half right at the connection where it bolts to AIH. any idea of why this happened, it never happened before when i ran the test. also is it normal for the engine to run rough during KOER test??

I thought the same thing, what in the world does the AIH have to do with the test? Maybe it was one heck of a coincidence, I don't know. Very worried that something that I actually need will get fried next...

KOER test the various sensors by checking their function, Obviously your AIH had a dead short in it and when the test was run on the Circuit ....poof
my Guess is that whom ever took apart the top end of your truck last installed the wires incorrectly.
the wire with the nut attached is positive right off the solinoid, the inner wire is negative and grounded to the head, there should be a ceramic isolator between the two. Forget the isolator or assemble with wires in contact with each other then it lets the magic smoke out.
