Sure, but we need pictures..... Being a 700 you might be dodging the WM, but it pays to be sure.

Hello, was wondering if anybody could decode this warranty plate info? Want to buy this truck but want to make sure what I’m buying. Also, could these trucks have been built with the famous”Widow Maker” rims? Thanks to all, Greg. Here are the numbers: C70EVR70267. WB 187. Max GVW 25500. Model. C702. Body 4A8. Trans H Axle GQM. OK, stand by on that. Meanwhile, I really hate to post this because some damn fool is actually putting these back in service. However, he has nice clear pictures of a cleaned up wheel. Note there is no split ring on these, and note in the dished side the "hump" in the middle. If your wheels look like this, you will be changing them, or learning how to DIY as no tire store will fool with them.

4A8: 4A = Black Heavy Duty Vinyl / 8 = 91A Standard Cab.

M = Clark model 285V 5 Speed Direct.

GQM:

GQ = Eaton model 17121 Single Speed Rear Axle / 6.50-1 / 17,500 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity.

M = Ford 7,000 lbs. Capacity Front Axle with Power Steering.

25,500 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.

118764:

11 = Boston MA Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.

8764 = Domestic Special Order number, truck ordered special by the original purchaser, not "bought off the lot."

*When there is no COLOR code stamped on the Warranty Plate, truck painted a non standard color per the original purchasers order, making it a Domestic Special Order.
