Unless you are going to up grade the wiring for modern conveniences i would avoid the that set up and re get reproduction original harness yes more costly but they retain the factory look and are bolt in.
If you not going to rod the truck out use new reproduction harnesses
Proper reproduction door weather striping is avalible leave the sticky back stuff for someone else.

 

Found a junkyard with an AOD for $300, but the yards unsure of quality. Ill buy the rebuild kit, because "I dont know probably means" it needs it. There are tons of videos and how to's for rebuilding this transmission.

Junkyard is asking if I need the 10 1/4 or 11 1/4 tail. Any ideas? Is there a kit for this swap or part by part purchase? Any chance there's a write up I can't find?
