I'm trying to replace the fuel selector valve on my 86 Ford Econoline, and I'm coming up with bupkiss.

I've gotten the only two O'Reilly had in store, and they don't fit. My mechanic says it is a 6 port valve with two nipples on the end, and the two I've gotten weren't the correct parts.

What size is the engine? Is this an E150, E250 or E350?

Look at the original valve, there will be an ID number molded into the plastic (6 port examples: E3TB-9F271-AA or E57B-9F271-BA or E67B-9F271-AA).

 

It's a 1986 E150 5.0 V8 engine. Sorry I forgot to add that.

Thanks for your help, bro! This part looks like it's for a diesel engine, is that right? Or is it just something screwy that Ford did that year?
I think this is the right one, I'm gonna get up under the van today and have a look to see if it matches.
