Morning Ken and Jason.

Ken, yes I am considering replacing my Expedition with another F150. Haven't fully decided but I'm batting it around.

I'm just over it at this point. All of the development that is happening around me right now isn't helping either. Sedimentation controls are almost as much of a joke around here as the code enforcement. My favorite is when someone buys a large tract of forested land. You see a large driveway that disappears into the trees going up the hill. There's no active permits on the property, but every time it rains for more than 15 minutes, the discharge from the property looks as though half of the property is going to flow down the creek! It must be nice to have so much money that you don't care that if your soil washes away!

I used to work on the site development side of civil engineering and half of the controls that DEP wants used don't function correctly or as intended either. So, there's that. All of it is one big mess.

I've not bought a vehicle in over 4 years and not from a dealer since 2007 or '08. So this is definitely a process, for sure. Expedition's getting to that place where I might have to consider some pretty major repairs for a vehicle that would value probably less than the repairs would cost...so...might as well see what's out there.

Howdy Bill.... I was busy after stopping by here earlier and just getting back to seeing what is going on.

Are you in the field doing tech work or in the office?

I'm in the office today, doing estimating work at the moment for a bid that goes out later this week.

Hi everyone. Someone asked if I'd trade my truck for an OBS. What years are those?

Howdy Steve. "OBS" is a pretty wide definition but it's generally considered the 92-96 trucks, like my diesel (my avatar picture).

That's why I replaced my last car...needed about $3100 in repairs to make it worth $500...I found a late model very low mile vehicle on...of all places...Craig's List...only 2 miles from home. Got a very good deal on it...and...3 years later...it's still going strong. As for dealers...some are very good...most are rather shady at best. Too bad the local Ford dealer is one of the worst ones in the region...rumor is that they are going out of business...they only carry about 40 new Fords in their inventory...down from about 150.
