Insulation on AC Evaporator on Firewall
Any ideas or experience with this issue? I've the RF fender and the inner fender off my 97 right now, and it'd be a perfect time to re insulate the A/C Evap. I've tried household fiberglass held with duct tape, spray adhesive and glass, with no great success over the years.. Mice have chewed a few sections out of it plus most of the remainder is just hanging on. Perfect time to do it, since it's so accessible. Thanks

I covered mine with actual aluminum "duct tape" & some cut down duct wrap.
It's held up pretty well. Clean the crap (actetone) out of it & make sure it's dry before taping.
Start at the bottom with same length pieces of tape & go up overlapping like you'd shingle a roof & so it sheds water.
I'd like to buy some self adhesive under hood insulation & do it with that$$$. (see Summit /Jegs)
