On my 14 F350 single rear wheel 4x4 I broke the rear upper shock mount bolt. Is there an easy fix?
That bolt snapped like it was an Ikea desk bolt.

For the next guy that needs help.

1) Use a grinder and "X" the rivets that hold the upper shock mount, there is 4 of them.
2) Airchissel the heads off.
3) Airhammer the rivets out from the outside.
4) The only reasonable way to prevent this in the future is pictured below.

After I took the broken bracket off the whole mount looks flimsy.
