Talking For a laugh

In Australia our "standard utility" fare stops at the Ford Ranger; Toyota; Mitsubishi; Mazda B250; Nissan Navara and the Mercedes variant. The drivers of these ute deck them out in various guises - lift kits, wider tyres; light bars;bull bars; canopies etc, etc. as all good ute owners are prone to do (mostly owned by tradies and used as a work/family vehicle). I laugh at some of the various ute owners posing in shopping centre car parks lauding over the normal passenger cars and SUV's.

I love the look on their faces when I arrive in front of them and they read this sign I have on the tailgate:

I started on the wiring to the lightbar I'm installing in the front grille. Got the switch installed and the wires ran through the firewall (that was a helluva job...). Too dang hot outside to finish up, so tomorrow morning I'll try to get the grille cut, lightbar mounted, and finish hooking up a couple wires...

Diamondback finely came in, still need to make final adjustments then take it off.

And test fit the camper

Need about an inch of additional height and will get a sheet of rigid insulation, lights and tie downs were good to go🙂
80 psi in the air bags brings it all back to level.

Found the time to put in the katzkins. Put heaters in them now just gotta wire them up. Gonna run power from upfitter switch 1 to a wire that goes into the passenger footwell. Only thing holding me back is cutting out the holes for the switches on the sides of the seats.

Put on a set of 2014 wheels with almost new tires. Gonna be driving a LOT of pavement the next 5 months, didn't want to use up my offroad tires.

Love Facebook Marketplace....$400, tires, wheels, sensors.

definitely does NOT look as nice as the factory Sport wheels with the 35's, but oh well. Switch them back in November.

Bought new tires this weekend. Went with 295/65R20 on factory wheels and I love the look of these Nitto Ridge Grapplers.
