OMG I found a nother oil leak !

Well after new cnc Fab hpop lines.
And aa new ipr . Witch we're both leaking.
i found oil in vally when I got to work.
So I stuck a clean rag under hpop non serviceable plug.
Drove about 30 miles and stopped by walWalm on way home.
Just pulled rag out.
And sure enough it full of oil.
I did the reseal kit on it years ago.
With the longer plug . OOring an thread seal.
Some days I'd like to set this truck on fire and walk away.
Ive got to keep telling myself It's agrivating but not a new truck note.

Are you sure it's not a pedestal o-ring or EBPV seal spurting into the valley?

I did exhaust back pressure pedestal delete lady year with all new o rings.
i used a mirror this morning and could see oil on non service plug.
I stuffed a white paper towel under it .
And had oil on it.
I think I can get an open end wrench on it.
So I'll try to tighten it when I get home.

I ordered the non serviceable plug kit. Ripped the hpop out, inspected it but found no sign of it that can show it could leak. Grabbed the wrenches to tighten all plugs/bolts on it and found the plug clocked at 12 o'clock to be loose..removed it, put a used turbo oring on it, 680 loctite it and bingo bango..no more leak

I didn't want to get to crazy with it.
it was hard to get a wrench on. But I tightened it about half round or so .de greased everything again. Then washed out vally with water.
ill check it when I get to work in the morning.
Hope it stops. But not counting on it.
As long as it's not leaking much I'll leave it alone . I've had a leak on every part that can leak for last few years.

Can't believe I get to report this. But.
i checked engine valley this morning after driving 50 miles to work and it's oil free.
Crossing fingers and saying prayers it stays that way.
First time in years I don't have oil leaking from something.

I'm about ready to pull my HPOP again, after fixing the non-serviceable plug a couple of years ago. Oil in the valley again under the HPOP. Hope I am as lucky as you because the threads were pretty badley damaged when I pulled the plug to replace it and I don't think it could be replaced again. And I used 680 on it as well. .

So far still no leaks.
I do believe I got lucky on plug.
Using small mirror I can see what looks like aasmall sliver of the o ring coming out from under the plug.
This is what made me afraid to tighten any farther than half turn.

beef tits is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Did you change your HPOP outlet fittings? There are a lot of things that can and will leak if not put together correctly. And things that will still leak anyway. On these trucks, just get used to it.
