Soft topper opinions and reviews???
Does anybody have any experience with the soft toppers for trucks? I have a 2009 longbox superduty, and am looking at purchasing one. Just curious if anybody has any knowledge or experience with these? Looking at the ”softtopper ” brand. Also if anyone does have experience with them, keep in mind I live in the frozen tundra of the Midwest. Thanks

I've had a few different types of bed toppers...but they are hard and made of aluminum.
Fold-A-Cover Leaked horrible after two years... Then went with a Full topper...
The best is RETRAX PRO

Opens easily, not leaking after two years and hail storm.. Looks very nice..
Full Topper:
Truck Caps, Tonneau Covers, Camper Shells & Toppers | SNUGTOP

I have a retrax, and yes, it is awesome. The best bed cover money can buy, although it isn't a topper like you are wanting. I think you are talking about the soft toppers that have a frame look like a soft shell camper cover.
Here is what I know about soft tops (from only jeep experience). They leak. Bestop makes the best tops available for Jeeps, and I am almost certain that they are better brand and quality than any of the ones that you can buy for trucks and they still leak. If all your looking for is something to keep some of the weather off your load, then go with a soft topper. If you want something to seal out the weather and be totally secure, go with a fiberglass topper.

I been using a truxedo soft tonneau, roll up bed cover but I'm guessing you are looking at soft top camper shells. If you are going to spend the dough just get a hard (fiber or aluminum) but if soft is what you want just get it. You might get leaks here and there but I'm sure you can address leaks as they come.
The brands of soft campers I seen from google search is " Bestop - SoftTopper - Can Back - Leonard" Here are the links:
