Please help

I have a 14 all stock but cold air intake. I'm getting a bad squealing noise like a pully going out. but it's coming from under the turbo area. I don't believe it's the turbo because it's random when it does it and no shaft play in the wheel. I've checked everywhere for the up pipes leaking and can't find anything does anyone have any other ideas where 2 look thanks

I drove a 2012 F550 for my work truck that is on its 3rd turbo in 130k miles. The stock turbos are crap.

But my boost can be anywhere and it does it and even at a dead idle sometimes that's why I'm not thinking it's the turbo

12 & 14 turbos are different. I believe 14 was the 1st year they put steel bearings in the turbo's vs the 11 - 13's having ceramic bearings in them. Can it be as simple as the belt? Or humidity?

I had a Turbo go out years ago and the turbo boost gauge was all over the place.

As said above, stock turbos are not good. The replacement turbo lasted for well over 100,000 miles.. Never had another turbo problem.

TIP: Don't have a hot high running, high rpm engine and just shut it off... Let the turbo cool down first for 2-5 minutes before shutting the engine off.. Turbos can run 1,000 degrees.
Tip: Don't rev the engine at first start since it takes a minute for the oil to lubricate the turbo.

Example:
If you pull off an Interstate ramp, and it's been a few minutes before stopping, that's okay. But it you pull off and immediately turn off the motor.. That's not okay and you risk burning up the turbo since the oil stops when the motor is shut off and the turbo blades are still turning.

Example 2:
Climbing steep hills or pulling a heavy load and you pull over to get fuel or stop on the roadside. Don't just shut off the motor.. Let the turbo cool down and give a minute before shutting off the motor.

Its not the belt the sound is coming from under the turbo area sometimes it does it at 1500 rpm and other times at 2500 and sometimes throughout the whole range of rpm with building boost or not I'm looking into a 15 turbo swap maybe this will fix the problem
