01 E450 trailer battery charge circuit
Hello all,
I have a 2001 E450 superduty (cutaway chassis for motorhome) equipped with a 7 way plug that has no 12V power connected to pin #4 and am looking for the terminating end of the trailer battery charging circuit. I've looked along the driver's side rail, but cannot locate the "unused" plug referred to on other sites. Although often told to just run new from battery to plug on rear bumper (30'), doing so would require the construction of a circuit which already exists (fuses/relay/wire/etc) I would like to use the oem trailer battery charging circuit that is there...but cannot find where it lives. I've located and verified fuses & relay associated with the circuit but cannot find where the trailer battery charging circuit terminates. Additionally, I would like to verify that this circuit would be energized when key is placed into ACC position vs only when engine is running...is that true? Any ideas? Thank you!
