Rear Ended

Hello There,
I'm new to the F150 world. I had an Excursion for 17 years. So I got rear ended this past Sunday. Not too much damage:

Are there any peculiarities I should be aware of once I take it in for repairs?
Here is the Kia that submarined me:

Sorry to hear about your accident, hope all involved were ok.

Had almost identical accident in 2015: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...vs-cobalt.html

I ended up bending the bumper panel back by hand and buffing some of the scratches out then replaced the plastic cover. If you're having the work done have them check out the hitch to be sure it wasn't compromised and push for replacement if there is any thought it was.

Another question. I slammed the headrest pretty hard.Thankfully no airbags went off in this accident.
Are the headrests like bike helmets and should be replaced after an impact?
Thanks

Mine was over 11,000 when I was hit, but I was not submarined.

The offending Chevy

Head rests are not like helmets, they would only need to be replaced if torn or the arms bent.

Getting a shop estimate tomorrow. I noticed the gap between the bed and the cab is 1/2" greater on the opposite corner from where I was hit.

Dang that's bad! I was rear-ended a couple years ago and it appeared pretty minor compared to those pics but surprisingly my trailer hitch was bent and had to be replaced. I hope you find a good body shop!
