Coffee Table Book for 3.0L
If anyone is interested I found that they have a "Coffee Table Book" for the 3.0L similar to what they've released for all the other Powerstroke engines. Pretty interesting to see the details of the engine.
Looks pretty robust. Funny, the oil filter cap looks identical to the one from the 6.0L.
Only thing I'm not a fan of are the timing components. Timing belts for the camshaft, ok not too bad but more maintenance than timing chains. But the high pressure pump having a belt drive and located at the BACK of the engine? Really guys? Hopefully they made it easy to access. For comparison, the 6.7L and just about all previous powerstrokes have a gear driven cam and high pressure pump. Not even a chain so ZERO maintenance.
