Nice clean design with no fake bolts or imitation bead locks. Nice to see that you posted the specs.

Are those die cast? Not a lot of material supporting the actual wheel. I would venture these crack on hard landings like the other aftermarket wheels.

Great Question!

These are definitely not typical cast wheels. They have the structural integrity and load rating to take on any road, or non-road

Here's what Vorsteiner has to say about the difference!

Can you define "flow forged" is this a marketing term or an actual process. Forging requires tremendous pounding or pressing force to form a part from a solid block of metal.

Cast, Flow Formed, or Forged? Why Wheel Manufacturing Method & Load Rating Matter | Speed Academy

This article explains it to some degree. It seems to be a cast wheel with a simplified forging process done on the rim area and nothing or little done to the center part of the casting.

They look pretty cool. Plus, since I don’t plan to jump my truck....no worries about hard landings.

On a more serious note, how does their weight compare to the stock 20” wheels on a 2017?
It would be nice to offset the weight of a heavier tire with lighter wheels...to help maintain a better ride.

The Raptor makes the wheel look a lot better than the regular F150... but I’d guess you could put some old school Cragars on the Raptor and it’d still look good

That article you listed sums it up pretty nicely!

During the manufacturing process even the barrel, or center part of the casting, is shaped to a specific density. Utilization of higher grade materials, coupled with the flow forging process results in a lighter more solid wheel.

Not to say its impenetrable, because its not. However it's structural integrity is greater than that of a standard cast wheel, which typically allows it to withstand an impact better than cast as well.

Here's a quick 4 step diagram via Vorsteiner that helps explain the process.

Stock 20" weight is roughly 39.2lbs per wheel.

These come in at 28.6, which definitely will help offset some of that weight as you mentioned! I mean 10lbs of weight savings per wheel is definitely worth mentioning!

Will you in the future be making the VR 601 Highland bronze wheels in smaller diameters to fit the F150?
In a 17 or 18 inch those would look great on my trucks.

We definitely have received requests for smaller fitment. Only time will tell for now unfortunately.
