The configurator was accidentally flipped live, so we got some news about pricing.
If you want four-wheel drive, it'll bump the sticker from $24 to $28,460. The XLT trim starts at $27,940 for two-wheel drive, and $31,940 for the four-wheel drive, and includes the SYNC infotainment system, the Ford Co-Pilot 360 suite of driver aids, fog lamps, and 17-inch aluminum wheels. The range-topping Lariat starts at $32,210, and $36,210 for four-wheel drive, and includes leather-trimmed seats, push-button start, and LED headlamps.
I don't get why they would actually pull the configurator down... After all, once it's up isn't the cat out of the bag?

Agreed! It's not going to priced much below the F-150. If you buy a Ranger it's because you simply like it better than the F-series trucks. It's not much smaller and not much cheaper. I think these truck are going to sell faster than they can be built.

i want a loaded pearl white lariat and I don’t know why, but after seeing it in person in March it just had me mesmerized.

I like them as well. My daughter on the other hand saw and drove one in Oman while on deployment and she didn't like the looks so she got a 2018 F-150 instead of waiting.

I had the dealer build the most bare bones one for me today, 24,000 msrp 23,719 invoice destination 1095 only $550 fleet credit.
I wanted a red truck, can't get that in an xl. They don't have a fleet color system for them either. Will be sticking to a tacoma, its cheaper and no up charge for red. And I believe the taco is the highest resale rating of any vehicle in the states. I wanted some blue oval, oh well.
come to think of it you can get a brand new ram 1500 for cheaper. I think the rangers are a little high, but they can always go lower i guess

Unless I did something wrong, the best price I could find on Rams build and price was 33K for a 2019 Tradesman 4x2 with a V-6. There appears to be no option for a regular cab model, quad cab only with a choice of bed lengths.
2019 Taco starting at 25500
2019 Colorado starting at 20200
New F-150 starting at 27705.
New silverado starting at 27xxx
I didn't read anything about t he GM so I'm not sure what they are doing to get the price way down. Perhaps a base four banger for an engine.

That is high, no doubt. Close to $40k for a Ranger? But build up an F-150 configured the same way and you're about $10k higher, easy. I just built up a Ranger Supercab XLT 302A 4x4, chrome package compared to an F-150 XLT 301A 4x4/5.0 w/chrome package and there was an easy $10k price difference. Now we all know that dealer pricing on the F-150 XLT is approx. $7-8k below sticker. I imagine after the first couple of years, they'll be doing similar pricing with the Ranger. I won't be ready to buy one for a few years yet anyway so that's fine with me. Even if the dealer will do $5k off sticker, that still puts me into a da** nice new Ranger XLT for right around $31-32k. That's thousands cheaper than the F-150; and the Ranger will simply meet my needs better anyway. Oh and I want it in that Flame Red or whatever they call it! That looks sweet against the chrome package!

I may even just buy a 2wd truck with the locking differential and save myself another $4k. This current F-150 is the first 4x4 I've ever had, and I hardly ever use it, even in the snow. I've used it more in mud than in snow. A 4x2 with a locking diff would be all the truck that I really need.

Priced an XLT Crew Cab 4X4 ($34150) with the FX4 Off-Road Package ($1295) and Trailer Tow Package ($495) and Front and Rear Splash Guards ($130) . Color was Oxford White with the a Medium Stone Cloth Interior. I wanted the sliding rear window which is priced individually at $225, but I was required to add an additional $2800 package of things that I don't want. Anyway, Final costs before Tax was $37,130. Honestly, I was hoping this truck could be had equipped this way for about $32000 and still be able to slide open the rear window.
I'm delighted that Ford decided to offer a neutral colored cloth for the interior. The 2.3l eco-boost with the 10speed auto is the engine/tanny combo I was hoping that they would use.. so that's a plus too. However, my gut is that this truck is priced about 10-15% too high. So, I'll hold back and see what incentives start getting offered.
