2014 rear chocks on a 2010?
Does anyoen know if the rear shocks on a 2014 will fit on a 2010. Both trucks were 4x4, STX models, ext. cab, and had the 6.5 foot bed. Their engine was the 5.0(not sure if it matters) and mine is the 4.6. I tried comparing them on fordparts.com but wasn't having much luck finding the correct part numbers for each truck. My coworker has all of his old suspension from his 2014 f140 stx after he pur a 4 inch lift on it. I was concidering buying his rear shocks from him at a discounted price if they do in fact fit my truck.
Any help would be appreciated.

I am not certain his are good or bad. Honestly, I'm not sure mine ate bad either, but am skeptical. When I hit small bumps at mild to moderate speeds i have noticed that i feel the bump multiple times. I dont recall the truck doing this in the past. My shocks show no sign of leakage, but at 97k, I'm sure they are about due to be changed. Any ideas?

I would just use new. Shocks aren't all that expensive.

I decided to buy my buddies shocks from his 2014 stx for $40. I installed them last night and went for a drive today to the local tractor supply. I was instantly able to feel a difference in the ride. No more feeling the same bump multiple times as I had been before. My original shocks still had oil in them and didn't show any signs of leaking when I removed them. What typically causes them to underperform? Dirty fluid, clogged valves, bad seals?
