I will definitely look into sensor cleaning as packagerjr suggested it is definitely easier to look at those before pulling intake for a suspect cooler...
thank you very much for the tips and another way to go about diagnosing.
I suspect the earlier 2005 trucks do not throw the CEL.
I've seen them not throw them and throw them, and based on the build date on the door sticker one was an early 05, the other was late fall 05.
I could be full of it, but I think it the location of the EBP sensor might coincide with this. The early 05 still had the sensor by the thermostat.
Again, I might be way off base here.
I have a build date of 1/05 -PCM strategy of “VXCF4D3” and the EBP sensor mounted under the degas bottle off the manifold running a welded cooler and don’t throw EGR related codes. I would think it’s more PCM flash related.
What are known good values to be looking at prior to cleaning EBP,IAT2,Egr valve, map sensor and after so I know if it makes a difference. I have scan guage II, auto engunity, maxi check 808 ,( forscan, torquepro bfax bluetooth adapter for android) DVOM if needed.

thanks again
With KOEO EBP should match MAP and BARO with in 1.5psi. The IAT2 after cold soak should match ambient or pretty close along with intake air sensor in the turbo air filter tube. If the IAT2 is working you should see temps while running 50-80* hotter than the intake air temp and should fluctuate higher than when the EGR is open should drop a little when closed.
I’m having the same issue on my 05, and I’m also in Clark County, so have to deal with the smog crap. I had a Bulletproof cooler installed a few years back, and with this latest round I’ve replaced the EGR valve, the IAT sensor, along with the MAF sensor and the CAC tube (it was leaking, and blowing oil under the hood, plus I had read somewhere that it could cause the code). My CEL comes back on pretty quickly after clearing the code, and I know it’s something simple, as the truck runs smooth and my mileage is still good. I’m using a DashBoss for extra monitoring, and the truck has about 252K miles.

Have you checked out the EBP sensor? Tube and/or sensor plugged up? Does it match MAP and Baro within 0.5 psi with KOEO?

What is the EBP sensor, and where is it? I’ll have to look at my MAPMand Baro readings again, but my memory is that they have been very consistent with whatever my current elevation is.
Ok so all my sensors check out with each other and are within spec of each other. So I'm going to put this to rest. Have no further issues or questions.
thank you for all the help
I do have another issue with fuel pressure I will start another thread.
