Hey guys,

I'm trying to help my dad find a fuel tank for his gas 1979 Ford F700. I've tried looking around but can't seem to find one, I was thinking maybe these part #'s cross reference with another vehicle I could find one but I can't find one that specifically says it's for a 79 F700 or these specific part #'s.

Youay want to post this in the large truck forum, as most of us have pick ups which are different thayn our truck.

 

Get a frame mounted tank with straps from a newer class 6 truck. Easy to get.

 

I think Dennis Carpenter has a big truck section, give em a try.

Look for a dealer close to you. When I lived in CT I used Moyer Fuel Tank Renu - antique gas tank repair restoration, classic car gas tanks GASTANK to redo a 1970 AMC Javelin tank that at the time you could not find anything that would fit / work.
They did a great on it. the out side has a rubber like coating but that is ok with me as the car is not a show room rebuild and is low enough you will not see it.
So that could be an option for you.
