You can absolutely rebuild the IPR, and it's easy and there's very little oil that leaks out when you pull it - one clean shop towel under it in the valley sops it all up.If you can remove the tinnerman nut and slide the solenoid off first, it can be removed with a regular deep socket (I forget what the size is), only hitch is you can't fully seat the socket on the wrench or extension. But it can be done without removing anything else, just some wires. The only issue is tat you can't buy a separae solenoid, so if that's the issue you'll need a new IPR. I rebuilt mine once and it lasted many miles, but then I started having issues again. I cleaned it and it worked for a little while, but I eventually replaced it. I still don't know whether there was an issue with the valve it self or the solenoid.

Like you I haven't had a truck note in over 12 years.... and we drive our cars until they are untrust worthy. Just bought a 2015 Infinity Q40 Off-Lease, with only 18,000 miles for $20G's.... so wife has her car for the next 10 years...

But... point is. not having a truck payment allows me to spend 6 weeks in Asia this Fall, with all that money saved over the years.

I still can't imagine paying for one of those $90,000 Fords.... O M G ..... that's just nuts !

It is nuts, especially since you can get one only a year old for $44k, there was a 17 XLT CC shortbox at my local dealership for that. A lot to be sure, but a huge discount from new.

A friend of mine just bought a new 2018 F-450 and a 2018 Seismic 42 ft toy hauler. I laughed and told him have fun in it, you are sure paying for the time you spend in it.

To each their own, but that is not my families way.

Another friend did that with a bumper pull and a Duramax a few years ago. But to his credit he admits not being interested in maintenance /repair work and was happy writing a check And he dragged his family cross country every summer and took many long weekends through out the school year..

Update on cnc Fab hpop lines.
after several thousand miles lines or holding good .
Had a leak on ipr . Replaced it with a new one that's holding good.
and stopped the miss I had while driving.
I still have a small miss every so foten.
I looked at ipc and I have oil in wiring harnes .
I replaced it years ago . Maybe 100k miles age with one from riffraff.
Guess it's time to replace it again . And maybe mew pig tail wire.
But very happy with new lines.
Motor was leaking a gallon of oil between 5k oil changes.
For first time in years I have a clean dry engine valley.
And don't leave oil every where I park.
