I am need of a passenger side armrest. The pop metal peice that holds the arm rest to the seat has broken and the local Ford Dealer cannot get the part. The fabric does not matter.
What you can try is drilling a hole in the same spot that little nub was at then putting in a small nut and bolt. Something that will give enough of a nub for the armrest to catch on.
Ok, is the passenger armrest the ONLY one that ever has this happen? Greystreak had this problem and I fixed it by scabbing another piece of aluminum flat stock across the old pot metal brakets and running a few tiny bolts that I tapped holes for in the pot metal. Greystreak's armrest brackets are probably still around (including the repaired pass. side one) If I can dig through the debris and find them anyone is welcome to them. I'll see if I can dig them up and clean them off.
Yes, F-series used the same seating. Sorry to inform that the brackets from Greystreak didn't survive. I forgot that the fire got hot enough to melt the glass in the dome lights so the pot metal that the brackets were made of consists of these two puddles on the floor beside each seat frame.
my driver side arm broke, it is now off the seat and in one of the cubbies in the back. haven't time had time to investigate the culprit. my brother was driving it at time- so i should make him fix it right?
