Morning all.
Is anyone going to the Springfield swap meet in a couple of weeks? I'm planning on heading down Friday and most likely head back home Saturday evening.
It'a a good opportunity to ramp up my search for a dana 60. That's been on the back burner for quite some time.
If guys are around, I hope to hit some of your junkyards.

In other news; my daughter announced that she is pregnant. This will be our first grandchild, not sure I'm ready for that. She is due February 20th.

Evening All!

Hey Joe, what kind of Dana 60 are you looking for? I have one with 3.73 gears sitting here.

Other than running some errands and paying bills, I didn't get much done today. Just "office work". PSC is starting to be a disappointment for steering components. I like their products, but it's a headache to get anything from them lately. I need to track down 2 steering cylinder mounting brackets by next weekend so I can do a display.

Hey Alan, It has to be a 72 or older and 8 lug to be a direct fit. In 73 they got wider.

Morning all. I will be sitting in lots of meetings today. They should be interesting, but they do get old after a while.

RC. I'm gonna try to head that way tomorrow to pick up that steel, if that's ok. If we can figure out a way to get your trailer up here, I can start decking that, too.

Joe. Sorry. I think I already knew that about the rear, I just forgot.

My new fire suit and gloves came in today. I'm really happy. Also the shocks showed up and the steering clamps shipped. I should have the u-bolts tomorrow. I may get the truck back together this weekend after all. That would be nice. Then I can start working on putting a hitch on the truck.

good morning missouri.. if it dont rain it may be a nice day out there..
i took the starter off my 961 ford tractor..found the stator windings had come un-soldered where the brush leads are connected.. disassembled one off a 49 flathead engine, looks to be the same so i put it back together..then had to recharge the battery so wont know if it work's until today..
alan are you coming down today? what are you bringing, some of that steel is still in 20' sticks.. and heavy

Got word they want to show our house tomorrow. Hopefully they like what they see. Gotta clean things up a bit tonight. My son is staying there, but with no TV or Internet, I don't think he spends too much time there.
The Moniteau County fair is going on this week and the Kay Brothers are playing. We were planning on going, but no telling what Gwen will feel up to after getting the house ready to show.

I'd really like to go on Saturday, but since my swap meet shadow will be away at college I'm not sure I want to go solo.

Random useless advice of the day - If you are applying for a teaching position at a correctional center, you really should avoid using the fact that your son got his GED at my school as one of the reasons you want to work there. In a similar vein, you should also NOT mention that you believe you should never tell someone no. From that moment on, it was all be down hill.
