56 Ford 750 COE Big Job Cab Over
#16
Nope, five and six spoke Dayton and Webb wheels can be found on all class 8 trucks, I think Truckdog will agree. Your C-750 would be a class 7 truck. The cast spoke wheels can be finicky to mount and run true, and have been known to slip if not torqued correctly.

What plans do you have for the '56?
I believe that truck had been for sale on/off for a couple years... I believe I drooled over that one when I was first looking for a COE...
I really like the '56... one year cab.
Hoping the best for you and your new project!

That truck is a beast. Lots of potential there. I guess you know that there is a lug nut and clamp missing on the left front wheel.

BE STILL MY HEART! Nice score!
I think you might find the 650/750 front track width to be a bit much for the original dog house width.
450/550 is what I'm narrowing in on for mine - but wishing for more GVWR...
Maybe the perfect platform: 2000s E-550 with 7.3L
maybe more rare than the '56 you've scored!

I stopped there this spring. I was interested in some more parts. The truck is still there in the same spot but the house is empty. Fortunately his son has the same name and lives nearby. He would not sell me anything and I understand that. The old man lives with his daughter . I spoke to him on the phone eventually but he did not want to sell anything. So I'll keep checking in yet not too often as to be a nuisance.
I noticed this tach is different. Is that because it is in a 55 or because it is not Ford?
