Current trans fluid turns brown after a few thousand miles. Color does not tell whether it is good with the modern fluids. Smell still works though.
I’ve got 23,000 miles on mine, half towing and it’s still bright red. I will change the filter and what oil that comes out every 30,000 miles and not worry about it.
