07 Navigator needs new front brakes. Looking for recommendations of a pad with increased stopping power. I've been happy with the OEM pads up until the past week since driving the '17 Navigator the dealer loaned me as a rental for a warranty repair. I am envious of the brakes on that thing.

Some pads I've been looking at:

PFC carbon metallic - mixed reviews, I've found people think they are garbage or they love them. They are super cheap on a certain diesel filter online retailer, I just can't seem to find much good info on them

Hawk LTS ferro carbon - I haven't heard anything bad about Hawk, excellent reviews and decent price

EBC - green seems to get good reviews, very pricey. I don't mind paying if they are worth it

Any other pads? Let me know. I don't care about dust, just want better braking

 

I'm using powerstop pads and drilled/slotted rotors i picked up from an ebay seller and love them. I had them on my GMC Sierra, F250 and now on my expedition. They are great quality and do the job better than they need to..

 

My 08' brakes fantastic with OEM pads but only after I fully flushed the system and put on remanufactured calipers and new lines. I was rebuilding after noticing all the salt corrosion from a previous owner. I could recommend Akebondo pads after enjoying them on my dodge ram truck.
