Transmission overheating but all other temps fine.
Title says it all...
I took my TT up the road to test out how the truck pulled and I noticed my trans temp getting hot...real hot. 250 degrees to be exact before i pulled over and let it cool down.
I thought it was because I had my extreme tunes still in, so I switched over to my tow tunes. That didn't help...the trans climbed back up to 230 before I made it home. This was on side streets and secondary highways only getting up to 45mph.
I let the truck cool down for about an hour at the house and unhooked the trailer and we took an hour drive down the road. Up to highway speeds and our ECT 194, EOT 198, Trans Temp 204. Once we got off the highway and drove the few more miles to the house, the trans got to 213.
The truck shifts just fine and the trans isn't really acting up other than the temp.
I have a 7.3 fan clutch that needs replaced because the fan is always on currently. I was planning on leaving DFW Thursday with the trailer to head back to MD. Now I have concerns with even driving the truck by itself that distance.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

SCT canned tunes that I used for over a year with no issues. When I tried out a Stage 1 Powermax I went with Gearheads. Now that I am back with a OEM turbo, I am using the SCT canned tunes again.
I will switch it back to stock before we dive the hour home in a few hours and see if that changes anything.

When the truck was running, SCT Livewire showed Trans temp of 229. Using an infrared laser, the surface temp of the trans pan was 191. I don't know if that helps at all.
Update: 45min on the highway at around 75mph: EOT 192, ECT 200, Trans 190. Once on sideroads, the trans goes up to 197. Parked at the house and temp dropped very slowly to 188.
