Need help with 2002 Escape 2.0L AC accumulator
Is there any kind person out there with a 2002 Escape 2.0L who'd be willing to take a look at their AC accumulator for me?
I need a new accumulator for mine, but looking at all the available options online, none of them look like mine.
The are many accumulators listed for the first-gen Escape, but all the online images show that they all have two quick-connect fittings. The factory accumulator that mine came with has one hose coming off it with a quick-connect, and one (on the left in the image below) that has a threaded connector with a hex nut:
Now I'm wondering, did all first-gen Escape accumulators look like that and the online photos on parts sites that all look different are generic images rather than specific ones, or is mine different because it's a UK-spec Escape?
The Escape was never popular in Europe and it was only sold between 2001-03 in the UK, so it's impossible to get new OEM accumulators any more. I thought I could easily order one from the USA, but it looks like maybe they're different?
