Interested in F-250 5th wheeling... am I out of my league?

I've been curious on the handling of a double trailer set up like that. First off, I looked at some Jayco 5th wheels early in my searching last year and found that they only rate their smaller 5th wheels with a receiver hitch rating of 2000lbs. The bigger 5th wheels have the same hitch it looks like, but the sticker on it says it is not rated for towing - only accessory use like a bike rack. Does Arctic Fox have any ratings for towing on the one you have? Or are you just making do with an accessory-type rated receiver? Or did you add the receiver? Can you tell any difference in handling with the ATV trailer behind compared to without?

The dealer had a local welding/fabrication shop ( Crystal Welding, Rogers MN) weld on a 4" receiver square tube to the frame. They do this often. I've seen no actual ratings for the hitch. I've not noticed any difference double pulling, no sway etc. I'd estimate the trailer & ATV weight to be just under 2k, the trailer is aluminum, and seems very sturdy.
Several buddies in our ATV club double tow with no issues. I do use a rear observation camera.

There's two considerations making it hard to determine from the outside. One is that a company likes to manufacture as many similar products on their assembly lines as possible, thus reduce cost. Less variety, less cost. On the other hand, buying less capable items from the supply chain and build them into one type versus another is also saving money. It makes sense that frame and major building parts for F250/350 come from the same assembly line (easy to see from comparing the dimensions), but what happens to components from the OEM may be a different story. Same springs? Shock absorbers? Same rated Tires? And that's where the cookie crumbles.

Yes they have to some degree.
In the end it comes down what the driver of the vehicle feels comfortable with and is it a risk to his or her family that are sitting in the seats of truck while pulling the trailer. We all have our own risk/ reward levels.
