f150 and f250 cabs/trims
The local dealer doesn't have a lot of choices on the lot for F250, all crew cabs in the upper trim levels. Dealers with better selections are like 100miles away. The local place does have more selection in f150s. Since the F250 and F150 now share the cabs, can I look at the F150s cabs and trims and get a good idea what the corresponding F250 would be like inside? I think the F250 has an extra glove box, storage under back seats and of course up fitter switches that the F150 doesn't. Beside that what other differences?
Trying to decide between super cab and crew. Would be nice to see both on same lot to see difference inside side by side. Pictures online can only get you so far. Same with the trims. Not a high level trim guy. Either Xlt or a XL with Stx package.

Not sure about the difference in the 150 and 250 but I checked out and test drove both a Super and Crew cab. Ended up buying an STX crew cab. Alot of bang for the buck with the STX and it dresses up a XL rather nicely combined with a few more options like the power convenience group. The amount of room in the back of the cab is amazing, much roomier then my 04 chevy CC. And 4 full doors is nice. Get the crew, you wont regret it.

I bought a '17 F350 S/C. No need for the crew cab as my son can easily sit behind me in my S/C. Neither of us are 6' tall, but plenty of room in a S/C. If both front and rear seat passenger are much over 6' then a CC would be more comfortable for long trips. The shorter wheelbase will make maneuvering my 40' trailer much easier than the wasted interior space is worth.

Agree with Crabbman. I have an Crew Cab XL with the STX package, which I think is the best "bang for your buck" out there. Not a lot of unnecessary bells and whistles (to break and cause trouble), but enough to make for a good-looking truck with a comfortable ride, at half the price of the high end trucks. Having to open the front door to open the rear door in the SC was a deal breaker for me.

the trims are almost identical from 150 to super duty. Just note that if the F-150 you look at has a center console shifter (instead of column shifter), the console will be a bit different in the 250. no super duties have that console shifter. Instead we get a really, really nice place to store all the junk from our pockets. love it.

My neighbor has a '17 SC SB FX4 6.2. I looked at and drove his truck before buying mine. He daily drives his, has no kids and doesn't tow, so he didn't need the diesel or a big back seat.
The SC is nice but I LOVE my CC and really wouldn't consider a SC after having mine for 10 months now. I am 6'3" and any full size adult can sit behind me with plenty of leg room.

That was the situation I was in. Only SD local all had black or camel interiors. The SD that I was interested in was a platinum in black with Marcella interior. I was able to look at a F150 platinum in same colors. The Marcella looks more red in photos and videos than in person. Totally love that color combo. Made the 1.5 hour drive and bought it.
