Where Does This Green Wire Go? 1986 F150 2WD 302

Can someone tell me where this green wire goes? It seems to be bundled with the EFI harness, but I can't find its mate. It's at the rear of the engine, driver's side. I probably need to replace the wire because the coating is gone and the wire is exposed!

Thanks in advance!

I am taking a wild guess, but on my 4.9L engine, the green wire located near the driver's side of engine bay is for the signal going to the tachometer.

Well that would make sense why mine's not connected... No Tach...

Thanks!

FYI - The tach wire may have a yellow stripe, so he should verify the wire color.

You could follow that green wire back to see if a stripe appears on a less heat affected piece of the wire.
Stripe or dashes could be yellow, light green or white.

The only solid green wire I see in the drawings is the EGR Vent solenoid, but that wire should be over on the passenger fender skirt.

What's that thing'y the green wire is attach to? Plug? Connector?

Took another pic of the connector.

This green wire comes from the same harness with the connector shown in the photo over the valve cover.

Page 60 of the 1986 EVTM on Gary's site shows a Dark Green wire (Circuit 360) leading from Pin 33 of the computer to a device called an EGR Vent Solenoid - and you're in the area of the EGR....

How far back can you trace the green wire from the connector on the valve cover ?
Still no stripe on the wire on the other side of the connector ?

what are the other colors of the wires in the connector, maybe we can find it that way ?
Check the colors on both side of the connector, they may change.....
I suspect that may be Connector; C325
