Thank you in advance for your patience, I'm new at this. 95 Bronco cannot turn wheels left or right. Driving home I stooped at an intersection, went to turn left could'nt turn the steering wheel. Got it home. Checked tie rods and drag link nothing broken. Was advised it was steering gear. Replaced steering box. Reassembled front end. Same problem. I disconnected the drag link from the pitttman arm. Jacked up the front. The front wheels wont turn left or right. Ball joints are solid. Stumped....Any help most appreciated. Need this truck for work!

 

Two possibilities, ball joints are seized or the front drive axle outer U-joints are seized. Or both.

 

This just happened out of the blue. Any noise from the power steering pump. Fluid ok. Is there a steering damper on it.

when you jacked it up, you can't turn the steering wheel. Engine running or not.

 

I would agree with what conanski said.

 

Fluid fine. Power Steering pump only 4 months old. No leaks, pump is quiet. Serpentine belt is not worn out. Cannot turn wheels even with engine off.
