what is your goal ? Normal gearing would be maybe 3.55 .... to get to 4.56 is a 30% change..... what that is going to do is at 60- MPH when the motor is running 1700 RPM, it will be running 30% faster or 2250 RPM ...... lot more bottom end torque... mileage and top end may be sacrificed.

Yes sir. Thank you for taking the time to reply to my thread. I orig. had a 3.55 gear in my truck, and them swapped out for 4.10. The performance was somewhat different, but now I'm think about going 4.56. Accoording to an RPM calculator it indicates that while at a steady 70 mph with a 4.56 gear my RPMs would be 2503 rpms. Is 2500 RPMS to high for 70mph ?

4.56 would be good then, that 4.6 needs all the help it can get.
