cleaning a brake distribution valve?

cleaning a brake distribution valve?
so I have a distribution valve off of the 77 I got the disc brakes from. is there a good way to clean it out, or can it be soaked in anything? just want to be sure the passages are clear before I install it.

You can clean it with ammonia. Just be careful with the seals --particularly on the metering valve (front) end if it. There are no seals reproduced to replace them if damaged.

Brake cleaner or flush with Denatured alcohols that don't leave any oily film.
Then pour a little brake fluid inside as you put it back together.

Brake cleaner doesn't play well with rubber seals.
