Can Oil Separator Drain Tube Be Capped/Deleted?

My truck is currently at Ford who is saying the Oil Separator Drain Tube from the oil fill canister to the oil pan is leaking. Five hours labor to fix. I have a catch can fed directly off of the oil fill canister and the OE hose between the canister and intake hose is deleted, the intake hose is capped. Being I have the catch can to collect oil can I simply plug or delete the leaking Oil Separator Drain Tube rather than fix?

See hand drawn arrows in attached pics for reference.

Thanks for any help you can lend.

The tube drains oil from the case breather which is part of the oil fill housing

blocking it off will result in more than normal oil to be sucked into turbo

if you remove the oil fill unit and put a hose on it and let it drain to free air, over time you would loose oil

best bet would be to cut the tube before and after the crack and insert a new larger size hose to connect the two.

The tube breaks often as is made of cheap plastic that becomes brittle.

You can access. By removing the pax side fender well cover

Awesome thanks so much for the input!

Will excess oil get sucked into the turbo even with the hose from the oil fill housing to the turbo intake hose deleted? I have a hose hooked to the oil fill housing and going to a catch can. The inlet on the turbo intake hose is capped.

no...if the hose between the breather housing and turbo is disconnected then remove the breather canister and cap off both sides of the drain line.

the drain line is brittle so proceed with caution
