Camshaft bearing clearance too tight??. Bent?? No spark? timing 180° off??? Ford 300

So i had just installed a new crankshaft and alum timing gear for my 4.9l i6. Put the whole thing back together, timed it, then when I went to start it up all it did was crank really slow and then hummed.. About month ago prior to this the old fiber gear shredded on me while driving. I remember not knowing exactly what was wrong and kepped trying to start it up so maybe I might have fried something??. Anyone might have an idea??

Dumb idea, but have you charged your battery? If it's been sitting for a month without running parasitic drain may have run the battery down.

A weak battery ? it would stick the starter solenoid open and it would crank until you disconnected the battery or the battery went completely dead.
