Radio touch screen section went blank

2016 Lariat with the big touch screen radio. On the home screen, the radio section is the lower left quadrant of the screen. Using the steering wheel control button to scroll through the options and get back to the FM station portion I wanted, I hit the steering wheel button 5 times in a row. Radio still worked, but the display went blank. Touch screen in that section didn't respond. Steering wheel button didn't respond. Rest of the touch screen worked fine.

Hit the on off switch on the dial and shut the radio off. When I turned it back on, things started working again. I have disabled the satellite radio options from the menu using Forscan if that makes any difference.

Anyone else seen this? Any idea what happened, of if the issue will come back? Or is this just another one of those random, there's way too many electronic gizmos in this truck glitch?

No clue on that.

Usually most people says the screen goes complete black/out.

If you are still within the 3yr/36k miles, might want to go to the dealer with the problem.

A bit over 60k miles, so no go there.

Didn't know there was one, but it was only the quarter of the screen for the radio that went black. The other 3/4 was still lit and responded and functioned.

Mine glitched in a similar way once, I’ve also taken Sat radio off the option list. It’s never done it again. For what it’s worth I’m over 100k miles.
