Hi all,

Looking for info on a couple weird options I have never seen, the adjustable map lights and the rear cab vibration dampener. Do these options actually exist and if so does anyone have a pic or two?

Map lights were not an option until the new body style in 1980.

I have no idea what a cab vibration damper is.

 

I think this is it. I screen shot the two photos from eBay a few years ago. I bid on it, but lost. ND will know for sure.

 

I never saw a cab vibration damper on any 73-79 Dentsides that I looked at. However, my 95 F-150 Eddie Bauer that I acquired and was formerly cosmetically wrecked had a cab vibration damper, and I removed it back in 2009 when I restored the truck. I didn't notice any interior cab vibration difference from it being on the truck compared to when I removed it. I do remember it weighing something like 25 to 40 pounds.
