Update: Dropped of the OX off this morning and after talking awhile I asked to see the crate motor. It was covered up with plastic, the motor painted black and didn't have injectors. They said Thur it will be done but when I talked to the guy doing the work he didn't think it would be done Thur. I said take your time, I want it done right. The boss man said it comes with break in oil and they will run it and change it. Then told me to change it again after 500-1000 miles. He also said to get the camper and take off. He has seen people who baby the motors have oil consumption etc. He himself builds a motor and takes it to the race track right away. I asked about anti-freeze and he puts in the extended long life stuff. I questioned that and asked if the right glue was used on the injector cups and he was turning away to answer the phone so I didn't catch the type of glue used by Jasper. He said he could put in the Fleet Charge if I wanted, think I'll call Jasper. Walked a 1 1/2 mile to the camper in the rain, sure could have used the bike. Nebraskan's are usually nice but no one offered a ride. Oh well, I'm a sweet guy but didn't melt, lol.

Glenn, if I didn't know you not sure I would of offered you a ride either. Assume you still have the white Santa Clause beard? Progress sounds good and looks like if you had to break down somewhere in the country you certainly found the right shop. What are the odds. Good luck and keep us informed on the progress.

I wonder where that shop was 4 years ago when I broke down in Omaha.... I was stranded there with what turned out to be a bad injector harness but didn't know anything about these things to fix it myself. Ended up bringing it to a sketchy used car lot and having their mechanic work on it.

When we had a machine shop here for over 15 years. We always put a motor in fired it up set the timing and checked for leaks made a few checks and loaded up and went to the track. Even motors we put in our pulling vehicles we never worried about break in miles. But some will have a different outlook on this but that's just what we did and never had any trouble. If its a good motor I wouldn't worry
