Factory upgrades from the junkyard...

Has anyone mentioned the dome light mod? Replace the early style chrome dome light with the 96+ dome light. Direct swap, much brighter dome light, looks more modern, and doesn't heat up to 1000°F when it's on. Plus there are tons in the junkyards. I just did it recently in my own truck.
They were in 1995 model years too.
The one thing that I find that is a little off though is, on a standard cab truck, the light beam aims much higher than it does on Bronco/S or Crw cabs due to the angled roof section that it mounts to.
Not a terribly big deal.
And bucket seats didn't come in standard cab trucks except Lightnings. We had this discussion fairly recently here.

Intermittent wipers are an easy upgrade, also used to get the drl modules off the Canadian trucks and it was plug and play. I once found a truck that had the "Northwest Package" with an oem factory rear defrost back glass. Have never seen another. The locking hood latches were also a popular add-on.

Are you referring to a 40/20/40 seat?:

Broncos had skid plates for the transfer case and fuel tank. The bronco tank is a 25 or 33 gallon model, and much taller than the f series rear tank.
be leary of any transfer case skid that has a bend in it. It's either been bashed on a rock or they used it as a jacking point. Either way diminishes the integrity of the skid.

is the newer one an easy swap?

Just in case you can't find what you are looking for this site can really help. You can search your local area with it too. I've found a couple of parts yards around here that I didn't even know existed. Good luck!

This is a little embarrassing, since I used to be into autocross with a modified CRX, but I didn't realize that my truck lacked sway bars. So I went by the Pull-a-Part this morning, and found a '93 XLT with front and rear bars... sadly I didn't have anything with me large enough to take the spring perch off. Any idea what size that is off the top of your head? I'm hoping if I take off the front plate, sway bar, and end-links as one piece... that they'll only charge me for one item. If someone gets to it before I can return, I did see a '91 Bronco with the front bar still in place. Funny thing is, I saw (weeks ago) a '95 XL that had the front "skid plate" that the sway bar attaches to, I can't say if it had a sway bar then, since I wasn't looking... but I remember thinking that I was pretty sure my truck didn't have a similar plate. I have a pile of ball joints and tie rod ends that I need to install on my truck, I'd like to get the sway bar from the Pull-a-Part so that I can do them all at the same time!
