Pretty soft actually, I thought something was wrong when I first depressed the thing! Still need to try to flush these hydraulics or just replace the setup. D4 is ordered, so that is a plus too.
I did a second gear start, rolled out fine. Took a hair more RPM than the old Luk did, but nothing crazy. Not 2500rpm to get going to avoid chatter/leaf spring wrap. I am pleased with it, living with it is not a big deal now that it is nearly broken in correctly.

I now have a correct center console!!!
PO removed it for some reason and put some cheapo carpet rounds on the floor as well as removed the arm rests. Smart! I have some less clapped out used seats for now until I decide how to restuff and recover...vinyl I am thinking. Anyway, I was lucky at junkyard one day last year and found a blue-grey colored console. I have had it in for a while. The color was bleh compared to mine, but it worked. So I went with it.
quesey had a red console by some sheer luck. I swear, he has everything I need! I picked this up, an unbent valve cover, and an aluminum CCV scoop a few days back. I felt like I hit some damned lotto. Cleaned it up and installed today!
Less than exciting news? 414 city miles on new clutch. Close!
I still love my Husky Liner floor mats.

I wish it was leaf sprung up front, I would have tossed a D50 under it when I did I-beam bushings recently. It is coil, so I guess that is only D44?
457 city miles, 43 left until I can drive a bit teenager-ish. Very smooth with the Comp Cams 910s and Fluidampr, for sure seems more responsive up top with fresh springs. Worth the $120 or whatever I spent for springs and shims plus the seals.
Gear Vendors look neat for these. They are a divorced mount, you just shorten the front shaft. I wonder if it can be run manually only. I would only want to OD direct (1:1) for towing or OD fifth unloaded to get the noise down. Price is pretty high, but I guess they will hold value for a long *** time and could always install on another first gen PSD if something happened. hmm Seems silly when I have a weak No 8 to think of something like that. But I have also thought about an IC on this engine.
Going to try to find some seat covers of a similar style to match my rear seat blanket!
