F250/F350 Tailgate vs. F150?

Hey folks, quick question.

I'm looking for options to mount a full size spare on my 1994 F-150. Was there any difference between a F150 Tailgate/Bed to a F250/350 Tailgate?

I came across this on JEGS: Tiregate

It's listed as 1992-1998 F250 & F350, but not F150. Maybe some minor mounting differences?

Thanks in advance

There are no F250/F350 beds that match through 92-98.

The 9th gen trucks that share all the same beds are the following (except for the ones in red as they didn't come with a bed).
1992-1996 F150/F250LD/F250HD/F350SRW/F350DRW/F350C&C/F450.
Also: 1997 F250HD/F350SRW & F350DRW have the same beds.

I'm not sure why they have the 250 and 350 listed only and not sure why '98 is in there.I'm also not sure why that thing costs nearly a grand either.I think I would go to a welding/fabrication shop and have them make one for you.

That's what threw me off was it was only listed for 250/350. I wasn't sure if there was maybe reinforcement or some design change for the heavier duty trucks that a F150 may not receive. I decided to email the manufacturer and see what they say, they offer a full swing out vertical tailgate (ie. Bronco Style) for $1,540, but it's fitment is listed as 1993-2011..

I was trying to avoid getting a fixed bed mount, as I didn't want to permanently lose space in a SCSB truck where bed space is already small enough. If neither of these options work, I maybe forced to just strap one down.

What's wrong with the under bed spare location?

Didn't want to throw a 37" Tire underneath the vehicle.

If the OP has larger then stock tires, (which I'm assuming he does or he would probably just use it). Then he will not be able to fit a full size spare under there.

I tried to fit a 265/75/R16 in my under the bed carrier and it would not fit without airing the tires down to less then 20 psi. Now that I have 33x12.5's there is not a chance of it fitting.

EDIT:

I wonder if they ever offered them for the flare side trucks?
