56 F-100 Throttle Linkage and Kick Down
I have inherited this vehicle last year, and haven’t had much time till now to start hashing out problems with this beast. It’s got a 429 in it, and that’s about all I can tell you.
Im by no means a mechanic, and the old school carbureted life doesn’t make much sense to me.. but I’m trying to replace the throttle linkage and kick down, because at WOT it wasn’t even opening the secondary. I tried adjusting it, but whoever worked on it decided to rtv their own gromit and the cable was trashed. So I pulled it and am trying to replace it.
Any part numbers and or any other advice to go about this would be great.

I can’t recall, but I know the stamp is DOVE-C and that’s off the top of my head. I’ll verify once I get home.
This truck was restored by my uncle back in ‘98 and he passed away a few years after. My aunt has kept the truck until last year and it’s been through the run around with dishonest shops/mechanics. A lot of shotty work I’m trying to fix.
